The Mucky Pups pre-school playgroup in Ledbury raised £32 for paints, paper and toys at its first sale of new and used children's clothes and play equipment last Saturday.
Though sales were not quite as high as was hoped, there was a steady stream of people through the doors of the Catholic Church Hall in New Street all morning.
Mucky Pups supervisor Zena Clueit said the group hoped to build on a successful launch by holding sales once every two months, with the next one being planned for August. Mucky Pups currently has 27 children on its books and is based at the former Social Services bungalow, at Leadon Bank.
