A training company has donated £1,200 to the Acorns Three Counties Appeal.
The money was given by Lessons Learned Ltd of Aylton Court, near Ledbury, which was set up two years ago by Tim and Penny Parkman to train banks and other financial services organisations in risk management and loss prevention.
Mr Parkman said: "With a young family of our own, we wanted to help a children's charity and the Acorns appeal is such a worthy cause."
The £4 million appeal to build a new children's hospice in Worcester to serve the whole of the Three Counties has already reached £2.7 million and building work could being later this summer.
Fran Winterbourn, the community fundraising co-ordinator for Acorns, said: "We're delighted with this generous donation. The new hospice will offer much-needed specialist care and support more than 150 children, offering a lifeline to families in Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire.
