A proposal to move the Tourist Information Centre in Ledbury from its present shop-front location is being opposed by the town council.
Herefordshire Council is considering moving the TIC to the medieval Master's House in St Katherine's car park. This is also a possible location for the re-siting of the library to meet new disability access laws.
Town clerk June McQuaid said: "Members agreed that the TIC carries out a very important function within the town and it would be a mistake to move it into the car park.
