BREDENBURY Primary School has missed out on winning a national competition to produce a newspaper in a day.
Pupils from the school were named among the top 50 entrants in a Times Educational Supplement competition, entered by around 1,000 schools. But they missed out on the top prize when the awards were handed out in London.
Year six pupils Hannah Pigrem, Fraser Clayton and Casey Lewis, who all helped edit the publication, travelled to the capital with head Steve Brennan-White for the awards ceremony.
Despite missing out in the main award they still enjoyed visiting the Houses of Parliament, Downing Street and a trip on the London Eye.
