PAUL Parry is confident he can realise his ambition of League football with Hereford United.

The Bulls' ace, who has attracted the attention of a host of clubs in recent years, is in some of the best form of his career and helped shoot the Edgar Street side to the play offs.

The 22-year-old has scored nine times in league and cup competitions but still harbours dreams of making it in the Football League. "I still want to get into the Football League and have got a good opportunity to do it with Hereford," he said.

"I'm still only 22 and I've still got another year with Hereford to make that happen.

"If it doesn't then may be that might be the right time to think about a move."

Parry admits he has been surprised at just how well the Bulls have done this season but after seeing manager Graham Turner rip up last year's squad, retaining only six players, acknowledges it may have paid dividends.

"Perhaps having a big clearout and bringing in some fresh faces worked for us," said Parry.

"We had a good pre season and the lads have gelled but we couldn't have pictured how well we would do this season.

"At the start of the season a place in the top half would have been a major improvement on last year so to be in the play offs is pretty amazing.

"Fitness is important for full time teams and we have to make sure we do the extra work to maintain our league position."

Matt Clarke is expected to back in the Bulls' squad to face Kettering Town next Saturday.

The wing back came through 70 minutes of reserve team action in the 3-1 defeat at Cheltenham Town Reserves.
