GRAHAM Turner has turned up the heat on rivals Forest Green Rovers ahead of tonight's clash by claiming the pressure is on them to grab their first points of the season.

Hereford United travel to the Lawn (7.45) with confidence buoyed after an impressive 2-1 win against Nationwide Conference title dark horses Farnborough Town but Rovers are still pointless after losing to Woking.

According to the Bulls boss it is a horrible feeling to be stuck on zero points and believes this will increase tension for Nigel Spink's side.

However Turner concedes Rovers have enough experience in their ranks to make it a difficult contest for his young side.

Over the summer Spink has brought in ex-Bulls striker Neil Grayson, one-time Sunderland ace Gary Owers and former Republic of Ireland and Portsmouth star Alan McLoughlin to his squad and will be looking to those three to help them bounce back from their opening day defeat at Woking.

"It is going to be particularly tough at Forest Green, who are the nearest thing we've got to a local derby, and they have got a very experienced side," said Turner.

"They've signed Gary Owers and Alan McLoughlin so they have got some real experience in there.

"But we are going there with a bit of confidence and I always think that sides that lose on the opening day of the season are under an extra bit of pressure -- it's horrible to be sat with no points."

Turner admits he was pleased with Hereford's display against Farnborough but is not allowing any room for complacency.

"I'm delighted with the result but we can improve and get better," he said.

"Defensively in the main we coped quite well at the back and the pleasing thing were the goals from Jamie Pitman.

"We caught up very quickly from the back and got players into the box in support as well."

Steve Guinan and Paul Parry are set to continue to lead the attack while new signing John Grant serves the second game of his three- match ban.

Former Crystal Palace player Andrew Martin, who came on for the final minute of Saturday's game, is on trial at Edgar Street and is included in the squad.

Formcast: Bulls to launch smash-and-grab raid 1-0.
