Users of Newent Library are now benefiting from extended opening hours.
Instead of closing at Saturday lunchtime, the library will now remain open all afternoon.
The new timetable came in effect on June 7 and has already proved popular with users.
Ruth Sheppard, manager of Newent Library, said: "Opening on Saturdays until 4pm means we can now encourage new visitors to the library as well as extending our services to existing members.
"Families can share a relaxed Saturday afternoon, enjoying the range of entertainment and information services, including free internet access."
