Hereford Tri Club's Andy Taylor won the Herefordshire Athletic Association 10,000-metre County Championships at Hereford Leisure Centre.
Taylor took the lead on the 20th lap of the 25-lap race and steadily opened up a 24-seconds advantage over the next senior male competitor, William Lloyd, of Hereford Couriers. Rachel Hatfield, of Wye Valley Runners, was the first senior woman to finish , with Croft Ambrey's Guy Whitmarsh the only veteran athlete to take part.
Senior men: 1 Andy Taylor (Hereford Tri Club) 38-34.7, 2 Williams Lloyd (Hereford Couriers) 38-58.6, 3 Vincent Playdon (Wye Valley Runners) 40-00.0.
Senior women: 1 Rachel Hatfield (Wye Valley Runners) 38-44.8.
Veteran men: 1 Guy Whitmarsh (Croft Ambrey) 41-06.0.
