PEOPLE visiting Much Birch Church tomorrow (Friday), Saturday and Sunday will see an explosive floral interpretation of Handel's 'fireworks' music. It will be the first of many displays to be seen at this year's flower festival.

From 10am to 6pm the floral displays - 'music in flowers' - can be viewed around the renovated church, accompanied by the musical compositions that are being florally represented - Elgar's Enigma Variations, Beethoven's Ode To Joy and Vivaldi's Four Seasons and many others.

The recent renovations include, a new roof, repairs and decoration, plus the installation of energy saving lights, Much Birch Church being the first in the diocese to take such environmentally friendly action.

Refreshments will be available in the community hall, along with local art and history exhibitions.

Evening events include music and entertainment by the 'O.K Chorale', tomorrow at 7.30pm; cheese and wine supper, Saturday 7.30pm (tickets available - tel. 01981 540980) and finally, Songs of Praise on Sunday 6.30pm.

All proceeds from the festival will go towards further renovation of the church.
