JO Busby and Byron Wallin beat off strong competition to carry off awards at Hereford Whitecross Squash and Tennis Club's tennis awards for 2003.
The duo were in competition with 164 other junior members before securing the nominations as young players of the year.
Celebrating, too, was Tyrone Feldman, who received the Bienve Fernandez award, while Val Finney was the winner of the Dor Snow award.
The club announced that its four floodlit courts have now been resurfaced and should be ready for play on November 24, allowing tennis to continue throughout the winter.
This completes a programme of improvements which has included refurbishment of the bar and decoration of the squash courts.
