A 33-tonne weight restriction is to be imposed on the Long Bridge at Dymock.
The move by Gloucestershire County Council has been welcomed by Ledbury Town Council.
However, councillors expressed the hope that more heavy vehicles would not be diverted through Ledbury as a result.
