NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH - West Mercia Police will discuss the Rural Safety Initiative on Monday, January 12, at 8pm in the Crown Inn.

FOOTPATHS - 18 year old Simon Davies from The Firs, has been raising money for a Trekforce Expedition in Borneo by spending many days working on a sponsored clear up of the 15-20 miles of footpaths and stiles around the parish of Dilwyn under the guidance of Alec Whitfield. Brambles were the main problem, many stiles were completely overgrown, and he has also uncovered hidden footpath signs. Simon will be leaving for Borneo on January 21 to spend four months on a project to help the local people conserve their rain forests. He will also be involved with scientific research within the area.

MOTHERS UNION - Did you know that you do not have to be a mother to join this Anglican organisation which promotes the well being of all families world-wide? The monthly meetings, held in a friendly atmosphere are interesting, informative and usually with guest speakers. Meetings are every second Monday 2-4pm. Contact Rosemary Brown 01568 720352.
