A happy New Year as Hinton earn first win

MLC continued to climb the league but their poor start to the season might just have left them too much to do to make the play-off stages.

Bartestree do not appear to have such a problem but will have to repeat performances like the weekend's if they are to make the play-offs. The 7-1 away defeat of Weobley enhanced their cause.

Ledbury Swifts kept top of the table after their close 2-1 win over hopefuls Leominster Minors.

Both the top two teams won in the Under-15 League. Lads Club maintained their 100 per cent record at Ledbury Swifts while Bartestree had a closer encounter against Hay-on-Wye.

FC Phoenix and Lads Club Rovers are creating a gap at the top of the Under-13 Division and both teams won by comfortable margins.

Leominster Minors remained top of the Under-16 Division with a close 4-2 win at Presteigne, while Ledbury Swifts climbed out of the bottom two with a close single-goal victory over Bromyard Town, Watts scoring the all-important showpiece goal.
