Wars! Why must there be wars,

This so unhappy earth,

Is it because of religion, race or creed,

Must people die to prove their worth?

Their territory encroached by others,

Their land...God's land at war,

Why can't people learn to love and love together

In harmony, not out to score?

Wars. Why must there be wars,

The innocent victims killed.

They have a right to live whether young or old

For their hopes and dreams fulfilled?

Wars. Why must there be wars,

This lovely Earth cannot survive in peace,

Hatred and discontent throughout the centuries

Long before, and after Christ, so wars will never cease?

Man and power assume such strength,

Destroys our minds, our souls our land.

Can we not live our lives in heavenly bliss

And show more love, not constantly demand.

Wars. Why must there be wars,

These demons caused by man,

This beautiful world's a Heavenly gift

To be cherished and enjoyed if we can.

Violence, greed and hatred corrupts our many lands,

What gain for you and me

But man like all animals need the fight,

So.....wars there will always be.
