MADCAP fun with lots of foam will be among the ingredients at the Acorns' It's a Knockout charity challenge.

Slippery slope, jungle gymkhana and minefield are three of eight money-making capers planned for Children's Hospice Week, September 20 to 27.

Acorns is looking for teams of 10 to raise £1,000 each at the event, to be held at Hatherley Manor Hotel between Cheltenham and Gloucester.

"The day promises to be lots of fun and all you need to do to take part is get a team of 10 together and raise the minimum £1,000 sponsorship - that's just £100 per person," explained Acorns' Fran Winterbourn.

She added: "Whether you join up with work colleagues, friends or family, you'll have the opportunity to play your part in an unforgettable day, at the same time raising funds to build a hospice to support life-limited children and their families in the three counties."

Teams are asked to reserve their places with a £250 non-refundable deposit, and pay the remaining £750 by September 15.
