HEREFORD United manager Graham Turner is hoping the club can capitalise on the feel good factor created by the 7-1 thrashing of Halifax Town in midweek.

The Edgar Street boss has set his sights on making the run up to Christmas a profitable month for the Edgar Street club, starting with the visit of Conference basement club Farnborough Town today.

Fellow strugglers Tamworth, who the Bulls beat on the opening day of the season, are also due to play at Edgar Street while there is also a trip to Forest Green Rovers who are in the bottom eight.

"We have got a December where we have got a chance of taking good points if we play like we did against Halifax," said Turner.

Turner also hopes their freescoring form can push crowds up again after just 1,875 braved the cold on Tuesday night.

"You would hope that they realise that they missed a cracking game and some great entertainment," he said.

"It was the real die-hards that always support us that came out and they were rewarded with a great performance.

"We hope we can get a few more through the turnstiles on Saturday to respond to the way the players have performed."

Meanwhile Bulls fans might have seen the last of Tamika Mkandawire, suspended from today's game.

The West Bromwich Albion defender's loan spell is but Turner may well try to extend it further to cover for Andy Tretton, who is still plagued by a thigh injury.

Richard Teesdale is set to replace Mkandawire in today's line-up.

United's away match at Scarborough, scheduled for next Saturday, has been switched to Tuesday, February 3, due to the Seadogs involvement in the FA Cup next Saturday, giving the Bulls a welcome free weekend.
