MICHAEL Rose returns to boost Hereford United's squad for their Conference clash with Halifax Town at Edgar Street tonight (7.45).

The left-back, back from suspension, will add some much-need steel to a Bulls' defence that leaked four goals at Shrewsbury.

Hereford captain Tony James and winger Paul Parry will also be fit after training yesterday despite picking up knocks at the weekend.

Manager Graham Turner is looking for a swift change in fortunes following their demise at Gay Meadow.

"We have to bounce back from a poor result on Saturday," he said. "We probably didn't deserve anything more than we got and we need to get back in the groove starting tonight.

"We started quite well at Shrewsbury when we had the ball but defensively we were poor. And that is not blaming the back four and the goalkeeper but the team as a whole for a poor defensive display.

"We allowed them too much room in too many good areas and we have to make sure we improve that tonight."

"Richard O'Kelly saw Halifax play last week and he was quite im-pressed," added Turner.
