HIGH-flying Hereford United visit strugglers Northwich Victoria tonight (7.45) bidding to chalk up a 10th win of the season.

Bulls boss Graham Turner is set to name an unchanged squad for the Nationwide Conference leaders with striker Rob Purdie (ankle) a doubt after missing Saturday's win at Woking.

Turner has warned his side to remain focused ahead of the trip to Wincham Park but was buoyed by United's victory at Kingfield at the weekend courtesy of Steve Guinan's late winner.

And even more pleasing for the Bulls manager was the clean sheet which signalled a return to defensive form for his side who had leaked goals too easily in recent matches.

"I think it was important we kept a clean sheet at Woking because we'd conceded eight goals in the previous three matches," said Turner.

"We defended much better, kept things tight but also created a number of chances and nicked one late on."

Northwich's new boss Alvin McDonald kicked off his reign with a 3-3 draw at home to seventh-placed Accrington Stanley and Turner is taking nothing for granted despite the fact they have won just once in 12 games.

"We are expecting another tough game especially with Northwich under new management," added Turner.

"They've not had the best of starts to the season but we can't treat them lightly and must stay focussed to get a result."

Turner also revealed key defender Andy Tretton could be out for a lengthier spell than first anticipated.

"He's at Lilleshall but we've been told he could be out for six weeks which is why we've taken the precaution of bringing in Tamika Mkandawire," said the Edgar Street manager.

Turner was pleased with the West Brom youngster's debut performance and he is line for another start tonight alongside captain Tony James.

"It's always difficult on your debut but he stood up to it well and did OK," said Turner.

FORMCAST: Bulls to win 2-1.
