Hereford United manager Graham Turner is looking for a swift return to winning ways in tonight's home clash with Telford United (7.45pm).

The Conference leaders tasted defeat for the first time this season on Friday and Turner admitted losing to Burton was a timely wake-up call.

"It's a test of character for us and it's all about how we re-spond," he said.

"The lads have looked okay in training and we're looking forward to it.

"The Burton scoreline was, however, no reflection on the game with their third and fourth goals scored on the breakaway," added Turner. "We didn't play badly and the scoreline didn't do justice to us."

Hereford may be forced into changes with defender Andy Tretton (thigh) and forward Rob Purdie (ankle) both carrying knocks. Turner will leave it late before making a decision.

Richard Teesdale may re-place Tretton, while Turner has David Brown and Daniel Carey-Bertram as options alongside Steve Guinan up front.

Tonight's match has some fascinating sub-plots with two for-mer Bulls, Matt Clarke and John Grant now playing for Telford, while David Brown and Jordan King moved the other way.

Grant, in particular will be eager to show the Edgar Street fans what he can do after failing to hit the net regularly during an injury disrupted season.
