GOLDEN Valley residents who use the Dore Valley Community Transport Scheme are hoping that their fears about funding drying up are unfounded.
Dore Valley Community Transport is one of several projects, paid for as part of the Government-funded Rural Bus Challenge, which provide essential transport for people with mobility problems.
Government cash is due to run out in March, but a working group of interested parties has been set up to identify alternative finance for the service, with Herefordshire Council 'very optimistic that it will be found, and an announcement made before the end of February'.
Dore Valley Community Transport Scheme relies on volunteer drivers and is keen to hear from anyone with their own car and time to spare.
