IT'S not every day that teenagers are given the go-ahead to resort to wrestling on college grounds...

But that's exactly the brief that six A-level students at Hereford's Sixth Form College are working to this term.

Preparing an excerpt of Trafford Tazi, a little-known work that came to prominence with an early '80s London stage version starring Toyah Wilcox, the group is short of one thing - the key prop.

The group needs a transportable boxing ring to rehearse for the performances, which run on March 26-27.

"We just need one kind local, who may have a ring in the back of their garage or in a roof somewhere," said director Colin Thompson.

"The play is about the expression of a young girl's insecurities through the medium of wrestling, and we can't do it without the ring!

"As well as providing the right level of safety in rehearsal, it will increase their chances of getting a good mark at A-level."
