A DRIVER suffered serious back injuries after his car left the road at Court-y-Parc near Ledbury.
The A438 was closed for three hours while Police examined the scene. The incident happened on Tuesday around 11.55am between Durlow Common and Trumpet crossroads.
A Nissan car is believed to have collided with a grass verge and came to a stop in an adjacent field. No other vehicles were damaged and no other drivers were injured.
The male driver of the Nissan was taken by ambulance to Hereford County Hospital, where his condition was yesterday (Thursday) described as stable.
Police want to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, in particular from the female driver of a dark Fiesta-type car, possibly with an "02" plate, travelling in the opposite direction. PC Colin Kerfoot can be contacted on 08457 444888.
