Ledbury Town Council is considering launching its own internet website and newsletter for local residents.
The initial set-up fee for the website is estimated to be more than £2,000 and annual service and maintenance costs would be around £600.
The aim is to update the website at least twice a week.
The newsletter likely to carry an image of the pendant from the Mayor's regalia, and the plan is to launch two issues a year, in April and September.
The annual cost of the newsletter has been put at £700.
