Pupils from The Downs school came first in the Junior Schools' Choir Competition at the Hereford Festival for Music Dance Speech and Drama.
Class adjudicator Jeffrey Wynn Davies commended the Colwall preparatory school's choir for its performance, particularly in diction and secure part-singing.
Each competing choir performed Jenkyns' Little Spanish Town and a contrasting piece, with The Downs choosing Rutter's The Lord Bless You and Keep You.
Headmaster Alastair Ramsay said: "I'm particularly proud of the choir who have worked extremely hard to produce such high calibre music.
"Our new head of music, Mrs Wendy Blunn, has inspired the children to enjoy their singing and this stood them in good stead against the other eight prep and junior schools who competed with them in this year's festival."
