Talented youngsters at Picklenash Junior School, in Newent, have been doubly busy this week preparing for a countywide dance festival in Cheltenham and their latest production Hansel and Gretel.
If that was not enough, last weekend 120 children took part on a sponsored sleepover at the school and raised £1,500 for PTA funds. The pupils of the neighbouring Glebe Infant School were the first to enjoy a performance of Hansel and Gretel yesterday (Thursday).
This afternoon, the junior were scheduled to perform the play for their own schoolmates.
Parents, other family members and friends will have to wait until Monday, March 29, to see Hansel and Gretel. Performances takes place at 1.30pm and 7pm.
