SEVERAL polytunnels off the Tewkesbury Road, near Newent, had their polythene ripped away during last weekend's gales.
Residents have battled for over a year to limit the number of polytunnels near their homes and have formed an action group called Tewkesbury Road Residents Against Polytunnels (TRAP).
The catalyst was a gale in October 2002, when several homes ended up covered with huge sheets of polythene.
Member Chris Wooldridge, of Ford House, said that no homes were affected this time but there was plastic in the hedgerows afterwards.
He said: "There were huge sheets of plastic flying around. It's a hazard and one of the problems we predicted."
Mr Wooldridge said farm workers had mounted a clean-up operation after the storm.
