WHIST DRIVE - There was an exciting finish to the series of three whist drives organised to raise money for the Herefordshire Heart Fund, when Mrs M Drew and Mr B Thomas each achieved a total score of 492. It was decided that they shared the £25 prize. Other prize winners were Mr B Thomas (highest score in the room) Mrs M Price Mrs N Griffiths, Mrs M Baker , Mrs E Exton, Mr G Thomas, Mr A Exton, Mr P Mokler, and Mrs M Phillips. A total of £270 was raised for the fund. Mr Mokler, on behalf of the Herefordshire Heart Fund, thanked Mr and Mrs Payne, Mr R Harris and Mrs J Cadman, for organising such successful events and all the players for their support. The next whist drive will be next Tuesday at 7.45pm and the proceeds will be for the Almeley Church Bell Fund.
