BISHOPS FROME - Bishops Frome and Fromes Hill Parish Council. At their annual meeting and annual parish meeting, councillors were given a presentation by Stella Woodman who outlined the aims of the Campaign to Protect Rural England. Literature and application forms can be obtained from the clerk. Councillor Jill Lynch was re-elected as the chairman of the Council. Cllr Pam Morgan was appointed as her deputy. The Spring Race Night will be held at The Chase, The Majors Arms, The Five Bridges and The Green Dragon Public houses at 7.30 pm on Sunday. This is the main evening event of the year to raise funds for the upkeep of the sports ground and pavilion. If you use these facilities in any way at all, this is your chance to help. Local Sportsmen and Women will be out and about inviting sponsors to adopt races, horses or riders.
