FESTIVAL OF FLOWERS AND MUSIC - An excellent evening was spent with the BBC Hereford & Worcester presenter Mike George and the Gardening Guru Reg Moule at The Simpson Hall for a Gardeners Question Time. More than 70 people enjoyed an informative and fun evening for the launch of The Burghill Festival of Flowers and Music, which begins this week on Wednesday, May 19, at 7.30pm at the Church of St Mary the Virgin, Burghill, with the opening festival Sung Eucharist. Each day from Thursday to Sunday entertainments include 30 beautiful floral arrangements depicting the theme Tell Me the Stories in the marquee. At 7.30pm each evening in church, there are performances of Handel's Messiah by The Elgar Chorale directed by Donald Hunt and Mad Dogs Theatre Company present, Angel Delight, and Jazz Night with The Cider City Jazz Men.
