Spring Fete - Due to the weather being cold, wet and windy, the event on Saturday, May 8, was held in the indoor riding school at The Pound, the home of Doris Culshaw. It was decorated with bunting, there was music and many stalls, games and competitions. The whole atmosphere was one of fun and an enjoyable time was had by all. The organisers were fortunate in having many willing helpers, including friends from Collington, who, despite being frozen manfully carried on. Thanks to the efforts of helpers and support of the visitors on such a wet day, over £1,000 was raised for St Michael's church funds.
