Furniture Scheme Sale - Re-Use will be visiting Knucklas Community Centre next Tuesday from 2 to 7pm. The day will be part of the Adult Learners Festival and will comprise a furniture sale and furniture care workshop at the hall in Knucklas. There will also be computers and IT Trainer Noel Delonnette (Community IT Officer, Powys County Council) on hand to help new learners.
COMMUNITY CENTRE - Eddy B, singer and musical entertainer, will be in performance at Knucklas Community Centre on Friday, June 4, from 9pm to midnight. Admission is £3. There will be a licensed bar and refreshments will be available.
All proceeds from this event will go to Knucklas Community Centre.
Annual Meeting - Knucklas Community Centre recently held its annual meeting. Dr Keith Ackermann was elected chairman, Mrs Lottie O' Leary as vice chairman, Mr Kevin Kell as secretary and Mr Colin Evans as secretary. Mrs Anne Leighfield, Mr Martin Wood, Mr Stuart Davies and Mrs Lynne Davies were elected to serve on the Committee.
Mrs Avril Hoyle has been appointed to serve on the committee by the Teme Valley Gardeners and Mrs Eileen Ackermann by Heyope Ladies' Guild.
Mrs Leighfield was elected as bookings' secretary and Mr Davies as site officer.
Coming events - Knucklas Community Centre's annual football tournament will be on Saturday, June 19, and the funday on Saturday, July 24.
Games area - Work has started on the construction of the hard-surfaced games area on Knucklas Playing Field, and should be completed in around ten weeks.
