A NEW community support officer has been appointed in Bromyard.
Fiona Witcher is employed by the police to work with beat managers and help make the town safer.
She comes to Bromyard after working at a force communication centre in Hereford for three years and was a police officer for 11 years before that.
Her duties include carrying out regular foot patrols and dealing with minor incidents of disruption and anti-social behaviour.
