Ledbury Town were defeated 2-0 at Kington Town on Tuesday night and have finished in fifth place in the West Midland League Premier Division table.
Anything but a defeat would have seen Town secure fourth spot at the expense of Shawbury United but Ledbury still finished in their highest ever position.
Third-placed Kington took the lead through 16-year-old Nick Panniers in the first half and although Ledbury's top marksman Robbie Colwell hit the post and the crossbar, an 80th minute strike by Matt Morris saw the points with the home side.
