MEMBERS of the Rotary Club of Ledbury learnt of an urgent need for second-hand shoes in the islands of Tobago and Grenada. These had been affected by hurricanes, especially severe in Grenada where there was complete devastation and where many people lost everything. To try and help, local schools were asked to collect any unwanted shoes. The schools involved were John Masefield, North Leigh School and Ledbury Primary School. All told there were 27 large boxes ready for despatch to the Roteract Club of Tobago. Ledbury Rotary Club will meet the cost of transport to Tobago.
