MEMBERS of the Hereford Guild of Guides and their guests were invited to the Town Hall by the Mayor, Councillor Mrs Polly Andrews, and the Mayoress, Mrs Patricia Gilbert. The Guides were invited into the Mayor's Parlour. During the evening, seven Guides who had successfully completed their course during the summer months so as to become the official Mayor's Guides, were presented to the Mayor, who congratulated them on their achievement. All the Guides present were thanked for their voluntary work in giving guided tours of the City throughout the year. The Mayor went on to thank those Guides who had assisted with the Town Hall Centenary open weekend that had proved to be so successful.
