MAURICE Perry equalled the record score of an RNCB Hereford team-mate when he carried off the British Blind Shooting Championships at the National Indoor Shooting Centre at Aldersley, Wolverhampton, at the weekend.
Perry, in his first championships, shot a remarkable 599 out of 600 to equal the existing record of former champion Carol Brown as he carried off the title by two points from defending champion Ali Burt from Aberdeen.
Brown finished a further point back in third place.
The RNCB also produced a winner in Class C when Robert Powell recorded a total of 560 out of 600 to take the top prize.
