WITH so many questions unanswered over the introduction of the Single Farm Payment, independent agricultural consultants Powell and Oliver have organised two meetings for farmers to help them understand more fully the new rules and regulations.
The consultants, with offices in Hereford and other towns in the Midlands, have arranged a meeting at Wharton Court, Leominster, next Tuesday, starting at 11am.
Another is being held at the Royal Oak, Much Marcle, on February 3 at the same time.
"Many farmers are having to make an estimate of the way they should go forward," said Ian Oliver. "We are hoping to break some of the details down for them and make things far easier to understand."
Besides cross-compliance rules, the meetings will outline the latest on the environmental schemes for England and Wales.
