HEREFORD United star Paul Parry has been put on the transfer list - but will only leave Edgar Street if the deal is acceptable for the club.
The Welsh semi-pro international is in his sixth Conference season with United and wants to fulfil his ambition of playing in the Football League.
United have issued an official statement and hope that supporters will accept the situation and not pillory the winger for his ambition.
The statement reads: "Paul Parry has provided excellent service to the club for the six years he has been with us, but has ambition to play League Football. Following a meeting with Paul and his agent we have agreed to circulate his name to Football League clubs as to his availability.
"He is aware that we refused an offer from Bristol Rovers last season and that Yeovil have made an offer this season, which was unacceptable.
"This is a very amicable agreement with Paul and his agent. It is now a case of waiting to hear of any interest from other clubs. If the right sort of club make an offer, the issue may progress, if not, Paul may be with us for several seasons to come.
"He will continue to contribute in a professional manner as he has always done. He also realises there is the possibility that he may achieve his ambition of playing League football with this club."
