TWO Hereford United players have been named in England's revamped semi-professional squad for the trip to Italy later this month.
Goalkeeper Matt Baker and left-back Michael Rose, a summer signing from Chester City, will line-up for the England National Game XI against an Italian Serie 'C' side in Cremona, near Milan, on Wednesday, November 20.
Baker, aged 22, has made 58 Nationwide Conference appearances for United, while 20-year-old Rose, a former Manchester United youngster, has made 18 Conference appearances for Hereford, scoring once. Central defender Richard Teesdale has been put on standby.
In a move to showcase younger players outside the Football League, the FA have agreed to play a number of matches at Under-23 level in the next five months.
