A Thai buffet raised more than £4,300 for the tsunami appeal.

The event, at the Bromyard Centre on Sunday evening, was organised by Oui Holmes, of the Old Satang Thai Restaurant on High Street.

Oui, along with staff and friends, spent the weekend preparing dishes for the 150 guests.

"I'd never cooked for this many people before but I had lots of people to help me," she said.

Local jazz band the Nonny James Trio provided music. There was also a craft sale.

Oui, who moved to England from north Thailand 20 years ago said she knew people whose homes had been destroyed in the disaster.

"When I heard about the disaster, I really wanted to do something to help," she said.
