MEMBERS of the Hereford United Supporters' Trust working party hope to have the organisation up and running before the end of the year.
The working party is finalising details on several key points and will be informing fans on the launch date of the proposed new Trust.
Working party spokesman Martin Watson said: "As the Trust will be a legal undertaking, more time than some supporters expected has been necessary to ensure that it will be set up correctly in order that supporters can vote to approve it. The one over-riding factor is that when the date comes, we ask as many supporters as possible to register as members in the Trust."
The principal aims of the Trust are to have elected representations of supporters on the board of Hereford United and to obtain public funds for the long-term benefit and stability of the football club.
Watson added: "We will be looking for volunteers to assist at the launch and for as many as possible to stand for election to the Trust Committee, which will comprise of elected members and co-opted members.
"The working party is purely in place to get us to the launch and others are needed to follow on."
