THROUGH the pages of the Hereford Times I would like to extend a huge thank you to the many people who contributed to this year's cathedral lily campaign including many gifts which were received anonymously. More than £2,500 was given for Easter flowers, and throughout the rest of the year, in memory of loved ones or in thanksgiving of special events.
Those who attended services on Easter Day, or visited during the last two weeks, will know the wonderful displays that our flower team created; we are grateful to them for their use of talents and skills in this way.
After the weeks of austerity of Lent, the sudden explosion of colour and scent filled the cathedral and challenged all the senses.
Thank you to all those who made this possible and we hope that all who visited the cathedral, whether from near or far, over the past 10 days have enjoyed their visit.
Glyn Morgan,
Hereford Cathedral Perpetual Trust.
