BRIC A BRAC - A coffee morning is to be held on Saturday from 10am at 4 Probert Crescent. Cakes and bric a brac will be on sale at the event hosted by the Mothers Union. Everyone welcome.
VILLAGE SHOW - The date for Dilwyn Village Show is Bank Holiday Monday, May 2, and the venue Fields Place Meadow, off the A4110 Canon Pyon Road out of Hereford and A4112 out of Leominster. The horse show starts at 9am for in hand and ridden showing followed by show jumping, clear round, leading rein, novice, intermediate and open. Enquiries 01544 340261. There are classic and vintage vehicles and static engines on display from 10am. Parade at 3.30pm (enquiries 01544 318880). Sabrina De Lisle, Shetlands long reining to music 10.30am and 2pm. Tom and Tilley Turnip's Tomfoolery, and their almost only flying Reliant Robin, 11am and 3pm. Demonstrations by Colin Gordon with his Sheep Dogs and ducks, three times winner of BBC's One Man and his Dog, at 11.30 and 2.30pm. Traditional children's Maypole Dancing 12noon and break dancing 12.30pm. Companion Dog show at 2.30pm, with registration from1pm, nine pedigree and seven novelty classes. Enquiries 01568 720420. Bouncy slide and jousting bucking bronco games, WI competitions, children's competitions, side shows, plants, arts and crafts, charity stalls, live music, hot refreshments and licensed bar, homemade cakes, sandwiches, tea and coffee, crepes. Adults £2.50, Children 50p. Grand raffle. Hog roast and music at the Crown Inn at 6.30pm.
