HEREFORD Arts Appreciation Society visits the Lady Lever Art Gallery and Port Sunlight Village on May 20.
The village, built by William Hesketh Lever in 1888 for the workers in his soap factory, offers a fascinating insight into the mind of a benevolent industrialist at the turn of the century.
His wife was a lover of art and the Lady Lever gallery was built to the house the substantial collection which the couple amassed.
There is no walking involved and most of the gallery is at ground floor level.
