Dudley Town 3
Kington Town 0
KINGTON'S young side battled hard but were no match for the strong, physical presence of a Dudley team who leapfrogged their visitors to move up to a mid-table position in the West Midlands League Premier Division.
The visitors started brightly but failed to convert a couple of early half-chances, Mark Davis seeing his snap shot well saved and Chris Lloyd firing wide.
Dudley gradually took command but were helped by poor marking as Kington failed to challenge a quick throw-in in the 25th minute to concede a soft opening goal. Minutes later Dudley extended their lead when Kington failed to clear a corner. Steve Radziejowski heading off the line but his fellow defenders reacted too slowly as the home striker fired past Simon Hamer.
The visitors lifted their game and dominated for the first 15 minutes of the second half. However, their failure to cope with a deep Dudley cross from the left saw the hosts take an unassailable three-goal lead. Hamer came out well but his attempted punched clearance re-bounded off the back of defender Chris Aspey's head for an own goal.
