DESPITE the counter-attractions of a Royal Wedding, Hereford Races and the Grand National on Saturday, Hereford United will be looking to their fans to turn out in force for the important Nationwide Conference clash with York City at Edgar Street, writes Richard Prime.
The third-placed Bulls could make their path to the play-offs much more straightforward with wins over the struggling Minstermen and then at relegation-threatened Forest Green next Tuesday.
"There's a little bit of pressure on now to take six points from these next two games," said Hereford director of football Graham Turner. "Neither game will be easy but that's what we must be looking to do.
"York will be well organised. I saw the recent game when they played at Halifax and they put up stubborn resistance which we can expect here. Forest Green are fighting for their lives and it is never an easy place to go, so they will be two tough games."
Hereford will have a few more selection options with Leroy Williams now clear of suspension. Danny Carey-Bertram will also be available on Tuesday after finishing his three-match ban.
Simon Travis, who has had two weeks' rest on doctor's recommendation to help a groin problem, will also be back in contention for a place in the starting line-up.
Hereford can take strength from a perfect record in 10 matches to date against sides in the Conference's bottom six.
Two more successes in the next week would see them on the very brink of a play-off spot.
