PAM Williams claimed a notable double at the Hereford Municipal Club when she won both the winter singles and pairs knockout competitions in a busy weekend of golf.

In the singles final she recorded an emphatic four and three win over Lesley Turbutt, and then teamed up with Averil Magee to beat Margaret Buckeridge and Clare Harding two and one in the pairs.

This was the final round-up of the winter season, with Sharon Helps taking the winter eclectic trophy, and Phyllis Dinnie taking the most improved player award.

n Vicky Howells topped the list in the April stableford at Burghill Valley with 38 points.
