FLOODLIGHTS - Presteigne St Andrew's Football Club are presently raising money to upgrade their facilities and erect floodlights during the closed season. This will enable them to enter their current youth teams in the floodlit leagues and cups next seasons and hopefully progress to a higher standard of football. Although a very ambitious project through grant aid. Fundraising and very generous donations from companies and individuals alike they have managed to raise a substantial amount towards their target. However there is still a shortfall and should you feel that there is a possibility in any way of assisting the club on this matter by ways of a donation they would be very grateful indeed. TABLEAU - Tableau presents One man In His Time, a programme of words and music covering man's journey through life-amusing, moving, serious, and contemplative. The show is collated by Barbara Lee, Marlon Rowlatt and Margaret Morgan and is being performed at the Arkwright Hall in Kinsham on Saturday, April 23, at 7.30pm. KARATE - Instructor Sensei Lee Taylor (second Dan) is starting lessons on Friday, April 22, at East Radnor Leisure Centre. GOING BUDDHIST - Mr Peter Conradi is presenting a talk on his recent experiences about going Buddhist on Sunday, April 17, at 3pm, in the Assembly Rooms. The cost is £3 on the door. Peter is the biographer of Iris Murdock.
