Coseley Town 2 Wellington 5
BOTTOM club Coseley showed a lot of passion but could not stop Wellington recording a fine victory to move up to share fourth place with county rivals Ledbury Town in a competitive West Midlands League Premier Division.
The visitors made a cracking start when Kenny Styles and Peter Wallace combined neatly to put Andy Price clear to give them a second-minute lead. Within minutes Coseley were back on terms when sloppy Wellington defending gifted them an equaliser.
Styles, a constant threat to the home defence, set up striker Robbie Parsons with a precise through ball, the crisp finish regaining the lead for Wellington.
Another defensive slip immediately on the restart allowed Coseley to restore parity, but when the hosts were reduced to 10 men after a second reckless tackle Wellington took over.
Price grabbed his second goal with a neat back-heel and then substitute Tom Herbert immediately made his presence felt with a superb solo goal, dancing past three defenders before blasting a terrific 35-yarder into the roof of the net.
Wellington completed a good performance when Steve Brotherwood put Styles through for the final goal.
l Ledbury Town lost 3-1 away to third-placed Shawbury.
