SHOW - The Eardisland Village Show will take place on Saturday, September 5, in the village hall. There are many interesting categories including handicraft, photography, art, creative writing, wine making, floral art, cookery and a children’s section with a chocolate prize for each child. RIDE AND STRIDE - A funding raising event for Herefordshire Historic Churches Trust will take place on Saturday, September 12. Everyone is welcome to join in whatever their ability level. Diane and David Cope are able to supply sponsorship forms. 01544 388981.

DUCK RACES - There will be duck races on the Mill Stream under the expert supervision of Duck Master, Jolson Gill, on Sunday, August 30, starting at 2pm, and proceeds will go to the village hall. Contact Gill Richards 01544 388323.

BARBECUE - Tickets are available in advance for a barbecue on Saturday, August 29, from 6pm to 10pm in the attractive garden of Hardwick House (off A44 near Pembridge ) in aid of St Mary’s Church Eardisland appeal fund.

There will be a bar, prize draw, music and entertainment and a grand fireworks display finale. Covered facilities are available should it rain.
